
TGU PROFILE
Background
Team Great Uganda (TGU) is a Registered Non-governmental, non- political, non-religious, not for profit organization established in 2017 by a group of people concerned about human capital development. TGU focus areas are Education, Health, Environmental protection, Entrepreneurship, Wealth creation, Food security and financial literacy. TGU was also established to promote human capital development, health living, hygiene and sanitation at community and household level, promote business growth, financial literacy, poverty eradication, Sustainable environmental management, building strong families and building the capacity of both TGU and communities to handle challenges affecting them. The organization is currently operating in the districts of Kampala, Mukono, Mbarara, Nakasongola, Nakaseke, Bushenyi, Tororo, Kamuli, Kapchorwa, Mbale and Bulisa.
TGU’s mission is to promote development and create self-sustaining communities in Uganda through networking, capacity building, resource mobilization, participatory planning and advocacy for attainment of sustainable development.
TGU’s Vision is to have prosperous people and united Ugandans free from diseases and Poverty
TGU’s strategic objectives include;
- To promote a strong, vibrant and well-coordinated network that is strategic and proactive in promoting development in Uganda
- To enhance quality of education in Uganda through promoting reading and lifelong learning.
- To promote sustainable business growth and financial literacy for wealth creation in Uganda
- To contribute towards increased community awareness and health literacy on accessibility, disease prevention and promotion of healthy life styles and reproductive health
- To promote the conservation of the environment and address causes of climate change.
- To strengthen the institutional capacity of TGU to deliver quality services
